KARACHI: The life disturbed in Dadu, Hyderabad and other cities and towns of the interior of Sindh over the strike call of Jiye Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), ARY News reported on Wednesday.

JSMM, a Sindhi nationalist group opposing Pakistan Protection Ordinance (PPO), has called a Sindh wide strike call to protest against the passage of the controversial law.

The life disturbed in Dadu, Hyderabad and other areas in Sindh. Scores of persons were injured in cracker attacks in various cities and towns.

The law grants sweeping powers of arrest and detention to security forces.

The law permits the law enforcement agencies to shoot suspects on sight, detain them at secret locations for up to 90 days and carry out raids without search warrants. The forces can also carry out secret trials.
