Judges Detention Case: Musharraf ordered to appear on 25th April

ISLAMABAD: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday (today) ordered former President (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf to appear in the hearing of Judges Detention Case on 25th April, ARY News reports from Islamabad.

The case was heard by ATC Judge Ateeq-ur-Rehman. The bench ordered Pervez Musharraf to be present in the court today on which defence counsel Ilyas Siddiqui said that his client cannot be presented in the court due to security concerns on which the bench expressed its anger and inquired that why wasn't the military dictator presented in the court.

During an informal talk with media, Ilyas Siddiqui said that Musharraf cannot be brought into the court on security grounds. He added that the former Army Chief was targeted when he was headed to his farm house at Chak Shehzad after being discharged from Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC).

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till 25th April and ordered Musharraf's guarantors to present the former dictator in the next hearing.
