Judges take oath of providing justice fearlessly: CJ Tassaduq

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has said that the judges have taken oath to provide justice to the people without any fear. He clarified that the rulers should also not consider themselves above the law – ARY News reports.

While addressing the Judicial Academy Peshawar, CJ Tassaduq Hussain said that the citizens have become aware of things now and demanding basic rights for themselves.

He added that the judges will have to discharge their duties with patience.

CJ Tassaduq said that the providing justice is the duty of the state, while rulers should also not consider themselves above the law.

He said that the country is facing numerous challenges including corruption and terrorism and its betterment lies in good governance and independent Judiciary.

The Chief Justice further told that the judges have taken oath of providing justice without any fear and discrimination.

Moreover, the Chief Justice (CJ) of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Dost Muhammad Khan also addressed the lawyers and judges on this occasion.
