LAHORE: Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has said that the Judiciary is aware of women issues and it is also active in resolving their problems – ARY News reports.
Addressing the convocation of Kinnaird College Lahore on Saturday, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said that the women will be playing an important role in the development of the country in coming future. He stated that the Judiciary is aware of their issues and it is also active in resolving them.
The Chief Justice said that traditions are misused in the name of religion here, several women are being victimized in Pakistan, which is sadistic state of affairs.
He elaborated that articles 25 and 34 of the constitution of Pakistan, provide equal rights to the women.
