LAHORE: Chief Justice (CJ) of Lahore High Court (LHC) Umar Ata Bandial has said that the judiciary is the protector of the constitution, ARY News reports.
Inaugurating a video link system in Judicial Academy in Lahore, CJ LHC Umar Ata Bandial said that the judiciary of Pakistan will not allow the constitution to be harmed.
"Justice should be provided on intellect and consciousness", he said.
CJ LHC said that the constitution of Pakistan is the basis of laws in the country and all judges of the lower courts must have command over it.
"Correct decisions will be made by the judges if they are fully aware of the interpretations of the constitution", Bandial added.
