Asif denies any agreement with K-Electric

Talking to media here, Khawaja Asif said that despite the end of agreement, power supply to K-Electric is continued only for the sake of people living in Karachi.

“We have not entered into any agreement with K-Electric again”, said the minister.

Speaking about LNG-run power plants, he said that the government in order to avoid delay, itself is providing capital for these power plants.

Asif further told that the government is constructing hydropower plants with a capacity of 3800 MWs of power generation, yet their number needs to be increased.
