KARACHI: An agreement has been signed between K-Electric (KE) and Harbin Electric International (HEI) of China for setting up a 660 MW Green Field Coal-Fired Power Plant on Thursday, ARY News reported.
According to K-Electric officials, KE and HEI has Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project, which will be developed, constructed and operated on a BOT (Built Operate and Transfer) basis.
As per agreement the Chinese company will be responsible for project’s development and operational and they will hand over the project to KE after its successful working of some period.
The officials said that the project will increase the foreign investment in the country.
