Provincial chief minister in a letter to the prime minister has demanded payment of Rs. 49 billion with respect to the hydal power arrears of the province.

Chief Minister has also demanded supply of 2000 megawatt electricity to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as promised with the province instead of 1,300 megawatts. Khattak also demanded that federal government should hand over the Peshawar Electric Supply Company to the province.

The chief minister said that the province should be declared as calamity-hit region due to its problems and dealt with accordingly.

Khattak also called on the federal government to assist K-P for extending help to the internally displaced persons (IDP) arriving in Bannu from North Waziristan in the aftermath of a military offensive.

K-P chief minister also demanded return of the Frontier Constabulary personnel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deployed in other provinces given the unstable security situation in the region.
