Bollywood actress Kajol has demanded an amount of Rs 15 crores to feature in a 17-episode Indian television show.
If rumors are to believed screenwriter Rensil D'Silva wanted to rope in Kajol for his forthcoming fiction drama.
After the success of the Indian TV show ‘24’, which features Anil Kapoor, D'Silva has penned another story, which is about a single mother living in an extended joint family in Delhi. Kajol was reportedly impressed with the story but demanded the hefty fee. After being offered the one-third of the amount she reportedly refused to work.
There were also rumors of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being considered for the same show.
"After a long meeting with the channel and the producer, she was offered one-third the amount, but Kajol wasn't willing to take the cut," a source close to development revealed to media.
The show’s producer Siddharth Malhotra, however, denied the claims, saying, "We have not approached Kajol for my show and we don't know Aishwarya Rai personally. The show that Rensil has worked on has been put on hold since the past six months by the channel."
