KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chairman Mustafa Kamal says Muttahida Qaumi Movement is afraid of the PSP instead of the Pakistan People’s Party ahead of MQM’s planned public gathering in its stronghold Liaquatabad.

Taking exception to the bonhomie between two MQM factions, he lambasted the MQM groups (Bahadurabad and PIB) for announcing to jointly hold a rally in Liaquatabad in response to PPP’s public rally.

He said the faces of all these leaders have been exposed.

Kamal, at the same time, insisted that he didn’t want to fight with somebody. “It only strengthens your enemy,” he asserted.

He quoted Farooq Sattar’s statement in which he claimed that Amir Khan was murderer of Muhajirs, and “now both the leaders have joined hands”, said Kamal.

Yesterday, Farooq Sattar said the two factions [of MQM-P] have decided to hold a joint rally at Tunki Ground in Liaquatabad.

On the occasion, Sattar was flanked by Bahadurabad faction members Kunwar Naveed, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Amir Khan. Earlier, Sattar announced taking back his call for May 4 rally in a bid to hold a joint public gathering with the Bahadurabad group at the Tunki Ground.

The senior party leader had arrived at the party’s Bahadurabad office after the media briefing. He was welcomed by Faisal Subzwari and Amin-ul-Haq.

“There shouldn’t be two camps at the Tunki Ground. There should be a joint press conference. Let’s start a new journey by not taking into account our past. We cant resolve our differences without Muhajir unity,” he said.
