MUMBAI: India’s top comedian Kapil Sharma on Monday denied an on-flight fight with fellow comedian Sunil Grover.
A number of Indian news sites reported last week that Kapil had a fight with Sunil Grover and the former not only argued with the latter but threatened to throw him out of his show.
Kapil hosts ‘The Kapil Sharma Show, a popular comedy show which has Sunil Grover and other comedians playing different roles to entertain the television audience.
“I love him.. I respect him.. yes I had an argument with him.but are we not normal people..?I shouted at him first time in five years .. itna to chalta hai bhai. we will sit n talk that where is the problem.. I love him as a artist as a human being.. he is like my elder brother.. why so much negativity all the time,” Kapil wrote in a Facebook post.
The comedian termed the argument ‘his family matter’ and the two will sort it out, adding that Indian media should focus on more important issues than a fight he claims never occurred.
About the news he asked “first of all see where it is coming from, what are the intentions behind this”.
A number of Indian media sites reported that the incident happened when ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ cast and crew were coming back after a tour from Australia.
The websites reporting the matter added that the verbal fight even turned into a physical assault by Kapil and Sunil, after the said brawl was over, apologised to his flight mates for Kapil’s behaviour.
So, the brawl did not occur and the Indian media reports about Grover leaving the show are false.
