KARACHI: A planted explosive went off near a shop at Zamzama. However, no loss of life reported, ARY News reported Tuesday.
Initially it was said to be a hand grenade attack at the shop but SSP Nasir Aftab stated that explosives were kept in a bag and placed alongside a shop which detonated. “We have not received any report of casualty in the wake of blast,” said the SSP.
Panic overtook the area as Zamzama street, being a famous shopping venue in the post area, usually crammed full of people. Police cordoned off the area and called Bomb Disposal Squad for site inspection.
The explosion was so loud as it was heard to a considerable distance.
