KARACHI: City Court of Karachi on Monday granted bail to a woman who had crushed to death a cat on February 1st in Karachi’s Clifton area, ARY News reported.

According to details, the woman, identified as Tehmina, was granted bail in return of Rs. 30,000 as a security deposit.

A case was filed against her on a local court’s directives after Karachi’s Darakhshan Police had refused from filing a case on the complaint of a citizen, Faaiz.

The police had maintained that the cat was a stray cat, and had it been a pet animal, a case could be registered.
