KARACHI: An alleged Lyari gangster was killed whereas 10 others were injured in different incidents, ARY News reports on Tuesday.
Two people, including a woman, were wounded in firing at Saddam Intersection in Saeedabad area of Baldia Town, police said. Police arrested the gunman and recovered arms from him.
An Assistant Sub-Inspector named Tufail was also injured by firing at Numaish Intersection. Another person was injured at Pak Colony.
Five others, including three women, were hurt during a brawl at Khamiso Goth at New Karachi Industrial area.
An alleged Lyari gangster was killed at Railway Colony in the jurisdiction of Meethadar Police Station. According to police, they signalled two persons on a motorcycle to stop but they opened fire in response. One of the suspects was injured due to the retaliatory fire whereas his accomplice managed to flee. The injured suspect succumbed to his injuries at Civil Hospital where he was being treated.
Police have said that the killed suspect was involved in Lyari Gang War, murder attempt, extortion and other criminal offences.
Two dacoits were arrested in an injured state from New Karachi Industrial Area after an encounter. Law enforcing agencies recovered arms, stolen motorcycles and other looted goods.
