Karachi: CTD arrests target killer from Korangi
KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel arrested a target killer from Korangi area of Karachi, ARY News reported.
CTD Civil Lines in a raid in Korangi arrested hit-man Asif alias Halaku with arms in his possession. Alleged target killer is presently said to be affiliated with Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
Accused Halaku had joined MQM in year 2008 and became a member of the gang of killers headed by Junaid alias Bulldog in 2010, police sources said.
The accused killed a worker of MQM-Haqeeqi Amir and a councillor Patras alias Bhutto in Zaman Town. In 2011 he killed Shafiq Sattewala, Waqar aka Wikki and two workers of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, police sources said.
The accused was also involved in murder of JUI worker Asghar Noorani, police said.
As the Karachi Operation started the accused fled to Punjab and was hiding in Sadiqabad district, police said.
Later he joined the PSP, the sources added.
