Karachi doctors receiving extortion calls from South Africa: Chinoy
KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies were just busy reining in local extortionists as a group of such miscreants based in South Africa is emerged to be sending threats to Karachi doctors, ARY News reported.
The revelation was made by Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) chief Ahmed Chinoy on Wednesday. He said doctors in Karachi were receiving extortion calls from South Africa.
He added that a contact had been made with South African government in this regard. He told that the government of South Africa had started investigation on telephone numbers provided to them.
The CPLC chief said some banned terrorist outfits were also involved in killing of doctors.
