KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said Karachi was facing shortfall of 600 millions of gallon water, ARY News reported Tuesday.
Chairing a meeting at Karachi Water and Sewerage Board office, the minister said water was being pilfered in industrial area on a large scale. We will register cases in this regard, he added.
Sharjeel also warned of strict action against people involved in water theft across the city.
He said people behind running legal hydrants were also involved in water theft. “Mineral water companies are also involved in pilfering water,” said the minister.
