Police raided the locality on a tip-off regarding presence of criminal elements in Baghdadi area. Exchange of fire ensued between the gangsters and police when the latter arrived in the area with heavy contingent. Three gangsters were killed during encounter with police.
They were identified as Abdur Rehman alias Lamba and Subhan alias Grenade, and third Ali Shaan. According to police, the deceased criminals were involved in various targeted killing incidents, extortion and abduction. Heavy cache of weapons was recovered from their possession.
In another encounter in Nazimabad area, police and Rangers raided the neighbourhood and gunned down a criminal. Similarly one more gangster was killed in shootout with police.
