Karachi: Five people die in Baldia Town landslide
KARACHI: At least five people of a family died and four others were injured when a house in Gulshan-e-Gazi area of Baldia Town here was hit by landslide on Thursday morning, ARY News reported.
Five members of a family died in the hapless incident. Zameer Gul, head of the family, along with his wife, two daughters died after being trapped under the boulders of the landslide.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Thursday morning. The workers of emergency agencies were engaged in rescue operation.
The rescue sources have confirmed that four people have been rescued from the spot.
While in another mishap in Pattoki city of Punjab, five people died and 14 others were injured when a passenger bus collided with a van.
All the dead and injured were transferred to nearby hospital where a woman among five pronounced dead by doctors.
