Karachi: Forty suspects arrested by LEAs in targeted operations

KARACHI: More than 40 suspected criminals including a target killer were arrested by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) in targeted operations in different areas of Karachi, ARY News reports.

LEAs continue the hunt of criminals in the metropolis and more than 40 suspects from Lyari were taken into custody. Rangers arrested six alleged criminals during the raid.

According to Rangers’ spokesperson, the arrested persons are affiliated to Lyari Gang War and were arrested on charges of target killing, extortion and other criminal offences.

The city’s East Zone Police arrested 35 criminals during targeted operations in different areas of Karachi. Stolen goods, arms and drugs were recovered by the Police.

Police stated that the arrested persons were wanted for street crimes and other criminal acts.

Unrest prevails in Karachi:

Killing and violent incidents continue to take place in Karachi.

A body tied to a noose was found from a house in Gulshan-e-Ghazi area of Baldia Town.

Two persons were injured in different firing incidents at Boat Basin and Orangi Town.

Karachi is marred by criminal and violent related incident despite the efforts of Sindh Government and Law Enforcing Agencies in controlling crime and unrest in the provincial metropolis
