KARACHI: Four people were killed in firing and other violent incidents in Karachi whereas a criminal was killed in an alleged encounter at Baldia Town, ARY News reports on Wednesday.
Two tortured bodies were found near Mewa Shah Graveyard. Their ages of the deceased persons are stated between 22 to 35 years. They were shifted to a hospital where they have not been identified yet.
A bullet riddled body was found near Teen Hatti Bridge whereas another body was recovered from under Lasbela Bridge.
On the other hand, a criminal was gunned down in an alleged encounter at Baldia Town area. According to police, the criminal opened fire when they carried out a raid at Ittehad Town.
He was killed in the retaliatory fire whereas his accomplices managed to flee. He was wanted for ransom and other criminal offences.
A cracker attack in the parking area of a residential apartments damaged windows of two different vehicles. Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and contingents of Police and Rangers arrived at the scene after the explosion.
According to BDS, 50 grams of explosives were used in the home made device.
