According to details, law enforcement agencies carried out a raid at Liaquatabad’s C-1 graveyard and arrested a gangster Farooq Maya affiliated with a Lyari gang. Maya had allegedly killed station house officer (SHO) Civil Lines police station.
Police nabbed an accomplice of target killer Hamid alias Piya from Shah Faisal Colony. The accused was running a team of hitmen, officials said.
Jamshed Quarters Police foiled a dacoity attempt and arrested a robber when he was trying to loot a house in the area. Two accomplices of the arrested robber managed to escape from the scene.
Police arrested two robbers from Sohrab Goth and recovered arms and stolen cash from them.
Police also arrested an an accused of extortion namely Danish from Nazimabad locality. A firearm and a cellphone seized from the arrested man.
In a shooting incident in Al-Falah Society of the city a man was killed.
