KARACHI: A lawyer and his driver were killed in a shooting incident in Orangi Town of Karachi on Saturday, ARY News reports.
The terrorists opened fire at a car in Islam Chowk area of Orangi Town killing Advocate Chaudhry Hamad Idris and his driver Noman Shah.
Police conducted targeted raids in Baldia and Orangi areas and arrested 15 suspects. The arrested men were transferred to an undisclosed place for interrogation.
According to SSP West Irfan Baloch, arms, hundreds of bullets and drugs were captured from their possession.
Moreover, Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) over a report about kidnapping for ransom arrested two extortionists red handed. Their two accomplices, however, fled from the scene.
According to CPLC chief Ahmad Chenoy the accused had demanded Rs. one million extortion money from a resident of Gizri. The watchman of the house was also involved in the crime, he added.
