KARACHI: Violence in Karachi claimed four more lives whereas a criminal involved in Lyari Gang War was gunned down in an encounter in the jurisdiction of Kalakot Police Station, ARY News reports on Friday.
Four killed:
Police stated that a person was killed by unknown persons in Lyari due to firing.
Another person was gunned down due to firing at a hotel in the area of Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
One person was shot dead in Baldia Town area.
A person succumbed to his injuries sustained during a firing incident at Model Colony.
Terror plot foiled:
A terror plot was foiled by security agencies after Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused a two kilogram explosive device planted in a tin can from MPR Colony of Orangi Town.
According to BDS sources, large number of explosive material, ball bearing and nuts and bolts were planted in the bomb.
Lyari Gang War member killed:
Police killed Zahid Dashti, an important member of Lyari Gang War, in an encounter in the jurisdiction of Kalakot Police Station.
Several arrested by LEAs:
Several suspected persons involved in the Lyari Gang Warfare were arrested by the Police during a search operation in Lyari.
Eight persons were nabbed by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) at Farid Colony in Orangi Town.
A spokesperson of Rangers stated that two target killers were also arrested from the area of Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.
