KARACHI: A man was killed and two injured in firing incidents in Karachi amid the law enforcement agencies crackdown against criminals, ARY News reported on Monday.
The law enforcement agencies arrested three suspected hitmen from Lyari and Sohrab Goth.
According to police sources, unidentified gunmen shot dead Mehtab 22, near Nishan-e-Haider Chowk in Orangi Town.
Two persons were injured in firing incidents in Clifton’s Neelum Colony and Orangi Town-4 area.
Secret agencies conducted a raid in Lyari and arrested two suspected hitmen linked with Lyari Gang War. Accused Ubaid and Gopi said to be involved in killings of more than 70 persons. The agencies captured grenades and other arms from their possession, sources said.
Another hitman, said to be involved in murder of over 50 persons was arrested from Sohrab Goth. The arrested suspect said to be affiliated with a political party.
Police and Rangers arrested eight other suspects from various parts of Karachi.
