KARACHI: A person was killed whereas another was wounded in firing incidents at different parts of Karachi whereas a dangerous criminal was arrested from Landhi area, ARY News reports on Monday.
According to sources, one person was shot dead at Kemari are whereas another person was injured in a firing incident near Qayyumabad Road.
A key criminal named Jaan Alam was arrested in a targeted operation at Labour Colony area of Landhi. According to Rangers, Alam was affiliated with a political party and was wanted for several criminal offences.
Fake driving licenses along with ammunitions were also recovered from the arrested criminal.
Two key accused along with several others were nabbed during search operations at SITE, Orangi Town and Metroville by Rangers. More than 300 personnel of para-military forces took part in the crackdowns. The entry and exit routes of the areas were sealed during the operations.
SP Faisal Noor said that large numbers of weapons were recovered from the arrested persons in the raids.
