Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was addressing a function of Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) here today.

The prime minister said that the operation in the city was launched with the support of all political parties and it has curbed targeted killings in the metropolis to a large extent.

The prime minister was addressing as the chief guest at the function to distribute awards among 25 companies for their best performance.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif highlighted the need to curb terrorism in Karachi for development of the city. He said the development of the country depends on the development of Karachi.

He said that the government of Sindh has been onboard with the centre for maintenance of law and order in the city and this task will be taken to its logical end.

Sharif said that the solution of the energy cirisis is necessary for economic progress of Pakistan. He said his government working on the long term solution of the crisis.

Earlier, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the economic indicators of the country are rapidly improving. He further said that the inflation rate in the country has dropped down to the minimal in 13 years.

Chairman Karachi Stock Exchange and Chairman SECP also addressed the awards distribution ceremony.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif later distributed awards among the 25 best performing companies of the KSE.
