Karachi Operation should meet a logical end: Qureshi

TOP NEWS

Talking to media at Multan airport, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that every political party claims that the Elections 2013 were not transparent and demands for its audit.

He said that both the sides demonstrated flexibility, which resulted in ending the months’ long standoff.

The PTI leader urged that judicial commission should start working at the earliest, so that the next elections could be held in a better atmosphere.

Speaking about the scenario in Karachi, he said that the Karachi Operation was backed by all political forces and the people there want peace.

Qureshi said, “Culprits of Baldia factory inferno should be exposed, while there is no room for the ones who tend to do politics or business on the basis of guns, bullying or bribing.”

“Targeted killings, extortion and kidnappings for ransom were continued in Karachi for years. Now the operation should be taken to a logical end and there must be no politics involved in it,” he added.

In response to a question, he said that his party will fully participate in the local body (LB) elections in the country.
