Karachi: Outlawed group may involve in Maymar slaughter

KARACHI: Evidence was found of the involvement of an outlawed group in the slaughter of six persons in Gulshan-e-Maymar whereas six persons were injured in different firing incidents in different areas of the city, ARY News reports on Wednesday.

The murder case of the six persons of Gulshan-e-Maymar has not been solved as of yet. Police has pointed that an outlawed group may be involved behind the murders. The factual evidence was collected and was sent to Forensic laboratory.

Sources said that further developments in the investigation are expected from the post mortem and forensic report.

Police also took six suspicious persons around the shrine and questioned the persons.

Firing was witnessed different areas of the provincial metropolis overnight. Fear gripped the Lyari areas of Kalri, Mirza Adam Khan Road and Bihar Colony. Two persons, including a child, were injured by firing at Bihar Colony.

Three persons were injured in a firing incident at Hussain Hazara Goth. One person was reported injured by gunfire at Mominabad area of Orangi Town.

111 suspects were arrested by Police in the past 24 hours in crackdowns in different parts of the city. Drugs, arms and stolen goods were recovered from the arrested persons.
