Karachi: Police arrest four ‘key’ land grabbers
KARACHI: City police on Sunday nabbed four hardened criminals involved in grabbing a land worth millions of rupees, ARY News reported.
The action was taken by district East police after several complaints against the accused persons. The police also recovered arms, crackers and explosives from their possession. SSP District East Peer Muhammad Shah said police officers supporting land grabbers will also be caught and punished. The citizens concerned were also present on the occasion to record their testimony against land grabbers.
Meanwhile, police also captured a target killed after an encounter in New Karachi area. Weapons were also recovered from his possession.
Separately Rangers, in their different raids, arrested five suspects belonging to Lyari gang war and other criminal groups and recovered arms and munitions from their custody.
