Karachi: Police kill three militants in alleged encounter

According to details, police obtained information about suspected terrorists and decided to conduct an operation in Karachi’s Faqira Goth area near Super Highway. During the gun battle between police and the suspects, three alleged terrorists were shot dead.

SSP Rao Anwar disclosed that among the dead were banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Amir Manshi and two of his accomplices.

FIR has also been registered for the murder of seven policemen in yesterday’s Orangi Town attack. The FIR has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Investigations related to the attack are underway and police have already taken into custody ten suspects.

A police mobile had been attacked yesterday by armed assailants in Orangi Town. The police mobile had been protecting a polio vaccination team. A CCTV footage obtained by ARY News also showed how an armed assailant had fired on the police mobile at close range. Seven police officers had been killed in the attack.

Condemnations from P.M. Nawaz, I.G.Sindh, C.M. Sindh and Interior Minister of Sindh poured in for the sacrifices rendered by the brave policemen.
