Karachi: Polio case surfaces in Gadap
KARACHI: A polio case surfaced in Gadap area of the provincial capital, ARY News reported Sunday.
Sources in the health department said a 7-month-old boy is detected with a polio virus.
Gadap Town is enlisted as high-risk area for polio. However sources told that lack of adequate arrangements in the area could be a reason of emergence of polio case.
Mostly polio cases are detected in Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Khyber Pakhtonkhwa district where polio vaccinators find it difficult to immunize children against polio due to security reasons.
