Karachi: Rangers arrest kidnappers of a DHA-resident boy

The kidnappers had demanded Rs 10 million ransom. According to sources, the victim’s family had Rangers and Rangers Special Task Cell. The abductors eventually agreed on Rs 3,50,000 ransom  to be delivered to them on Queens road area.

After Kashan was released after payment of ransom, Rangers Special Task Cell continued their investigations and raided a flat in Gulshan Iqbal area where the abductee was kept.  The paramilitary force personnel arrested one person who took Rangers men to another location in DHA.  In that raid the mastermind and another accomplice were arrested.  Ransom amount was recovered along with weapons, fake currency and fake passports.

The boy was a student of Beacon House School.

Sources informed that the kidnappers had also used Whatsapp to contact kidnapped boy’s friends to invite them to a party in DHA.  But the gang was arrested before it.
