Karachi: Rangers arrest several suspects in raids
KARACHI: Several suspected persons were arrested in targeted operations by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) in various areas of Karachi, ARY News reports on Sunday.
Rangers carried out a search operation for several hours in the area in Mohammad Khan Colony and its neighboring areas. Eighteen suspected persons were taken into custody during the raid. Small and large ammunitions were also recovered in the crackdown.
The arrested suspects were taken to unknown location for investigation.
Two members of an outlawed group were gunned down by Rangers in the jurisdiction of Gulshan-e-Maymar Police Station along Super Highway.
According to spokesperson of Rangers, the members of a banned organization attacked he Rangers' mobile as it was on a regular patrol duty. They were killed in the exchange of fire.
Two Klashnikovs and a hand grenade were recovered from the killed persons.
