KARACHI: Section 144 has been imposed in District South after Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) announced to stage a protest in front of the Iranian Consulate at Clifton area of Karachi today, ARY News reports on Friday.
A ban has been imposed on all rallies and protests under the section. All routes leading to the consulate from Do Talwar Roundabout have been sealed.
SP South Ibadat Nisar has advised people to take alternative routes when coming to Clifton.
ASWJ leader Aurangzeb Farooqi has warned that the protest will be held at any cost.
ASWJ President Ahmed Ludhianvi will lead the demonstration.
