Karachi: Seven criminals killed in Rangers and Police crackdown

Four gang war accused were killed and five arrested in police jurisdictions of Docks, Mochko, Nawab Colony and Manghopir police stations, law enforcement officials said.

Rangers personnel conducted a raid in New Karachi. In a subsequent shootout two suspects of targeted killings were killed. Slain accused were involved in sectarian targeted killings, officials said.

According to Rangers spokesman another targeted raid, based on an intelligence report, a terrorism suspect was killed. The slain accused was involved in murder of a rangers personnel.

Three members of Uzair Baloch gang were killed in a police operation in Mochko police station area. The accused were involved in targeted killings of CID police officials, police said.

A member of an outlawed group, Abbas, was killed in a police raid in Docks police remit. According to police the accused was involved in sectarian killings.

Police arrested a suspected hitman from Mohammadpur area of Orangi Town. The accused has confessed his involvement in ten targeted killings.

Police also arrested three accused of extortion and street crimes from Nawab Colony and captured arms and a grenade from their possession, sources said.
