KARACHI: Several suspects were arrested by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) during search operations in areas of Qayyumabad and Landhi, ARY News reports on Sunday.
According to police sources, a search operation was lodged in the early hours of Sunday at D-Area of Qayyumabad near Korangi in which more than 300 cops took part. Police arrested 42 persons in the crackdown. The arrested persons are being questioned for the attack on polio workers which claimed the lives of three volunteers.
Police added that several members of an outlawed group are included in the nabbed persons.
On the other hand, raids were carried out in different areas of Landhi area after lethal grenade attacks on police officers. During the raid, 32 suspects were nabbed by the police force. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the arrested suspects.
