KARACHI: Three Rangers personnel killed

KARACHI: After Police, now Rangers personnel are in the cross hairs of Target killers in Karachi and despite pillion riding ban two officers of Rangers has been martyred today, ARY News reported.

During the last 24-hour three Ranger’s personnel have been gunned down in different areas of Karachi.

Unidentified armed men riding of motor bike opened fire at the Ranger’s check post located near Landhi Hospital Chowrangi as a result two Rangers officers Sanaullah and Saif-ur-Rehman got severely injured and were shifted to hospital but the later they succumbed to wounds in the hospital. The gunshots also killed a nine years old Ayesha and left a bystander injured.

DIG East Muneer Shaikh informed that attackers were wearing uniform of security guards and after killing officers of Rangers, the attacker fled away from the scene taking government’s weapon in their custody from Rangers.

Earlier at night, a Rangers’ officer was shot dead by unknown assailants in Frontier Colony.

Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed strong condemnation over the killing of Rangers. He said attacking Rangers is a cowardly act.
