KARACHI: Two persons were killed whereas two others were injured in firing and other violent acts here in Karachi, ARY News reports on Tuesday.
According to police, a person was killed by unknown person's firing at Mehran Town area of Korangi.
Another person was shot dead in Bhittaiabad area near the Jinnah Airport here in Karachi.
Two persons were injured in robbery attempts in the jurisdiction of Orangi and Boat Basin police stations.
On the other hand, Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) carried out a targeted operation in Gul Mohammad Lane of Lyari after receiving information of criminals present in the hostile area.
Heavy contingents of LEAs sealed the area and carried out a door to door seach operation. More than 400 personnel, including women searchers, took part in the crackdown against criminal elements.
According to latest information received by ARY News, several suspects were nabbed by the security agencies from the area and large number of arms and drugs were recovered from the suspects in the operation.
Criminal activities are being witnessed on daily basis in Karachi despite the ongoing raids and targeted operations in Karachi. Sindh Government and Security forces have claimed to stop the unrest to an extent.
