Karachi: Two MQM activists gunned down near Nazimabad

KARACHI: Two activists of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) were gunned down by unknown armed men near Nazimabad, ARY News reported on Friday.

The men were coming out of a mosque near Nazimabad Gol Market when armed men sprayed them with bullets. The victims died on the spot. The deceased persons were identified as Hammad and Khalid.

A 3-member committee comprising DIG West, SSP Central, and SSP SIU has been formed to probe the incident.

MQM chief condemned the incident and said party supporters and sympathizers were being targeted indiscriminately. He said such killings were a plot to ruin peace in the city.

Rabita Committee of MQM said repeated killings of party workers questions the performance of law enforcers.

Meanwhile, Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ibad has sought report of the incident from IG Sindh.
