KARACHI: Two persons were slain whereas two others were reported injured in firing and violent incidents in different parts of Karachi, ARY News reports on Monday.
According to police officials, a body was found from Lyari river near Teen Hatti Bridge. He was killed after being tortured.
Another person was gunned down at Juna Market of Lyari in Karachi.
Earlier, two alleged criminals were gunned down in a raid by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) at Gulshan-e-Buner area of Quaidabad.
According to sources, the criminals attacked the LEAs with hand grenades due to which two personnel were injured. The alleged criminals shot dead in the exchange of fire.
They are alleged to be members of an outlawed group.
On the other hand, Police arrested a wanted person named Saeed Billa from Civil Hospital Karachi. He was a wanted criminal in the ongoing Lyari Gang War.
He is said to be involved in criminal offences including murder, murder attempts, extortion and kidnappings.
Further three suspects of the Lyari Gang War were also apprehended by LEAs after receiving information from Billa. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the arrested suspects.
The city life in Karachi has been severely affected by the ongoing unrest. Despite the ongoing targeted operations and the efforts of Sindh Government, crime incidents and terrorist acts continue to haunt the citizens Karachi.
