Karachi Unrest: 25 arrested, 3 killed
KARACHI: Twenty five suspects were arrested during crackdowns by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) whereas three people were killed and three were reported injured in different incidents of violence, ARY News reports.
According to police, three bodies were found in the jurisdiction of the Gadap Police Station at Super Highway near the Ansari Bridge earlier this morning. They added that they were shot dead after being tortured. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. The bodies have not yet been identified.
Overnight, one person was shot injured while resisting a robbery attempt. The citizens overpowered the robber and handed him over to the police after thrashing him thoroughly. Further two persons were also injured during robbery attempts in the jurisdictions of Orangi and Boat Basin Police Stations and were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to SP Orangi 25 persons were apprehended from the area of Banaras in the jurisdiction of Peerabad Police Station after receiving secret information. The investigation of the nabbed criminals has been started.
