Karachi Unrest: NATO thief apprehended, 2 killed

KARACHI: A person involved in stealing NATO supplies items was apprehended by the Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) whereas two persons were killed in different firing incidents in Karachi, ARY News reports on Thursday.

Abdul Ghaffar was arrested by the Docks Police in a raid and the NATO goods such as lights, cameras and surveillance devices were recovered from his possession.

According to ASP Sajid Sadozai, the suspect used to steal the goods from containers and wanted to sell them in the market. The investigation of the offence is underway.

On the other hand, 50 year old Muhammad Rafeeq was killed in a firing incident in coastal community of  Ibrahim Hyderi. According to police, the deceased was a resident of Bela area of Balochistan.

Another person was gunned down as he resisted a robbery attempt in Korangi this morning.

Sindh Government lifted the ban on pillion riding on motorcycles which was imposed as a security measure on account of the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (R.A) and the martyrs of Karbala (R.A).
