KARACHI: Unrest continues to prevail in Karachi as two persons were gunned down in different areas of the city, ARY News reports on Friday.
Lyari became a battleground once again as heavy firing was witnessed in the hostile area. The people are forced to stay in their homes due to the deteriorating situation in the locality.
On the other hand, two persons were killed by firing in the area of Banaras.
One person was injured while resisting a robbery attempt at Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Police recovered a 13 year old girl from Korangi Industrial Area. A kidnapper named Fayyaz was arrested during the raid and arms were also recovered from the arrested criminal.
According to the police, Fayyaz had kidnapped the child from Dera Ismail Khan and brought her to Karachi. He was wanted by Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police in different cases.
Seventeen persons were arrested by police in an operation at Orangi Town.
