KARACHI: Karachi violence claimed further four lives whereas an important gangster from Lyari was gunned down by Law Enforcing Agencies, ARY News reports on Friday.
Bodies found:
According to Police, three bodies were found from different areas of Karachi.
A corpse of a 25 year old person was found in the Rehri Goth area of Lyari. Another body was found from Yousuf Goth area of Landhi.
A tortured body was recovered from Lyari Expressway near Lasbela area as well. Bullet marks were found on the body of the deceased person.
Police has stated that the bodies of the three persons could not be identified.
Firing Incidents:
Two persons were injured in firing incidents at Shah Faisal Colony and Sohrab Goth. They were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
A person named Mehmood-ul-Hasan was killed in a firing incident at UP Turn at North Karachi area.
Cracker attack:
Unknown persons hurled a grenade at a scrap shop at Malir area due to which the roof of the shop collapsed. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Another cracker attack took place at a shop at Yousuf Goth area near Landhi. No loss of lives were reported in the cracker attacks.
Several arrested:
A target killer named Atiq, involved in the slaying of four persons, was arrested by Kharadar Police after they received information of the criminal. According to SP City Sheraz Nazeer, the hit men was wanted by different police stations.
A drug dealers named Qudratullah along with his accomplices was arrested by Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Police. SP Farooq Awan said that 12 kilograms of smuggled drugs, brought from Peshawar to Karachi, along with two TT pistols were recovered by the drug lord.
Lyari gangster killed:
Zohaib alias Caper, a close accomplice of Baba Ladla and a key gangster from Lyari, was killed in an encounter at Kalakot area. Police have stated that the criminal was wanted for more than 50 criminal offences. Hand grenades and pistols were recovered from the gangster.
