Karachi violence claims two lives, six arrested

KARACHI: Violence prevails in Karachi as two persons were killed and two others were injured in firing incidents whereas Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) apprehended six members of an outlawed unit, ARY News reports.

According to Police, intense firing was witnessed at Cheel Chowk area of Lyari. One person was killed in the incident.

Two groups of Lyari Gang War used large number of arsenal against each other at Shah Baig Lane area in Lyari due to which 30 year old Akhtar was killed and 45 year old Ahmed Shah was severely injured.

Another person was injured by firing at Lyari’s Kalakot area.

Locals of Lyari are forced to stay in their homes due to the intermittent firing in the area.

Six suspects arrested:

Six suspected members of an outlawed group were arrested after an encounter at Sohrab Goth. The arrested persons were wanted for murder, murder attempts and extortion.

Arms and hand grenades were recovered from the arrested persons.
