Kashmir Issue main problem between Pakistan, India ties: Fazl-ur-Rehman
LAHORE: Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl-ur-Rehman and Chairman of Kashmir Committee of National Assembly (NA), has said that Kashmir Issue is the main problems in the bilateral ties between India and Pakistan – ARY News reports on Wednesday.
Speaking to media at Wagah Border before Sheikh-ul-Hind Conference, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that discussions will be held with the political leadership of India regarding the bilateral ties amongst the neighboring states. He said that the region will be peaceful if the Kashmir Issue is solved.
He said that the two countries should joinly pay attention to India’s role in the security in Afghanistan instead on individual basis.
Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, while speaking on peace talks with Taliban, stated that the Federal Government is determind for negotiations with the militants. He added that time is being taken by the Taliban in this regard.
Criticizing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government, JI Ameer said that the province has been given in the hands of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the elected representatives will be NGO employees given the system that has been presented by the Provincial Assembly for the Local Bodies (LB) Elections.
While lauding the tenure of outgoing Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, he said that CJP has envoked a new spirit withing the judiciary.
He said that he was not contacted regarding the NATO supplies.
