Kashmir Solidarity Day observed in Cairo
ISLAMABAD: The Kashmir Solidarity Day was solemnly observed in Cairo, Egypt, to express solidarity with oppressed innocent citizens of Indian-occupied Kashmir.
A seminar on the occasion was held at the Greater Cairo Library. It was addressed by scholars and intellectuals, who traced the history of the dispute and drew its similarity with the Palestine issue, says a Press Information Department release.
The Egyptian Ambassador reiterated the resolve of his government and the people of Pakistan to continue their moral and political support to the cause of Kashmir, until the issue was resolved.
Earlier, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq apprised media that Egypt has expressed the desire to join China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Ayaz Sadiq said Egypt’s participation in CPEC will add assign substantive meaning to the ‘transcontinental game-changer’ project by connecting the Economic Corridor to Africa, Europe and Middle East.
