British-born Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif has hit out at celebrities who make false claims about products in commercial endorsements.
The 30-year-old actress is in the favour of government’s plans of taking legal action against manufactures, as well as celebrities who deceive people with false promises in advertisements.
According to Mail Today Bureau, Kaif was quoted as saying, "it's important not to mislead people. So if you are making a claim in an advertisement, hopefully your product should deliver that promise."
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ actress added that in her brand endorsements she has always been "pretty conscious" of not making a wrong claim.
Kaif, who is the newly named face of L'Oreal Paris, said it is an "incredible privilege” to join the ranks of Bollywood beauties Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Frieda Pinto and Sonam Kapoor.
“I am extremely happy and honoured to be joining the L’Oreal Paris Family. I have been looking forward for saying it from years ‘Because we are worth it’ and that’s something I finally got a chance to do”, the ‘Dhoom 3’ actress was quoted as saying.
