There used to be a time when Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were in a relationship with each other, and the two made no effort to hide it from the public. Salman and Katrina broke up, with Kat moving on to start a new relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor. However, relations never soured for long between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The two remained cordial with each other and even starred in a couple of movies together.
But things certainly went awry recently when Salman Khan made some offensive jokes about Katrina Kaif at Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights With Kapil. That day, there was a packet of firecrackers on the sets, which also featured Katrina Kaif’s photo on them. Salman had spotted them whereas Kapil hadn’t, hence Salman jokingly told him not to look for it, since they were of no use to Kapil. He then added that they were also of no use to him as well, which had the whole room in fits of laughter.
Here’s how, in her own words, Katrina Kaif reacted to Salman’s statement.
“The base of my relationship with Salman was correct, it was true. Which is why we are still able to be friends. But he lives in a parallel universe, always making these jokes about me publicly, which get the media really kicked. Like the comment he made on Kapil’s show when he saw my pictures on a set of crackers. ‘She is of no use to me’! I called him and yelled at him. I can do that, it is the sort of equation we have. He said, ‘Okay sorry I will apologize to the media’. I told him to do no such thing and maintain a dignified silence if that is possible.”
It’s good to know the two still share a bond of friendship with each other.
